I believe this is best done individually, by designing a customized practice for your unique constitution, lifestyle and goals, whether in person or via online yoga classes.

Newer students who are just beginning to start yoga might feel overwhelmed in a typical class setting, particularly during the first few classes. It can seem difficult to keep up and personal flexibility might require a little work before it becomes easier to get into different poses. As your private yoga instructor, I can break down each posture step by step and personally show you how to safely access it, while mindfully working with your body and where you are at. This can help improve your form immediately which makes it easier and quicker to get started.

I don't have to divide my attention over a whole group, in a private lesson I give you my entire attention and focus. Having this one on one attention is something public classes do not offer.

In a private setting we get to create the space to help you transform your body and practice. Having private lessons allows you to set specific personal goals whether that be for flexibility, strength, meditation, etc. The practice will be adapted to your goals and expectations. And since these classes will be tailored more to your needs, it will create the fertile ground for you to progress faster.

Making the time to practice is a vital element of yoga. Sometimes, it isn't possible to get to a class or studio, especially for those who lead busy lives. A private lesson can accommodate even the most hectic of schedules by working around personal plans and scheduling conflicts. Taking lessons at any time of the day or night, depending on work and/or social obligations, allows more flexibility in your practice.
+ Developing a Plan for Personal Home Yoga.
Having a home yoga practice takes time and commitment. You have to know how to choose poses and put them together (if you are wanting to practice your own flows). Sequencing - which poses you practice and in what order - is a tool that can take years to study and master. But as your private instructor, I can teach you the basic building blocks that will allow you to quickly start putting together sequences of your own and create a plan for you to confidently start your own home yoga practice.
+ Deepening the Practice You Already Have.
If you're already a consistent practitioner, private yoga sessions can be beneficial if you're interesting in taking your practice to the next level.
+ Prepping For a Yoga Teacher Training.
If you're interested in taking your own yoga teacher training soon and want to prep as much as you can beforehand, I can help with that. Having gone through an eight month yoga teacher training course myself, I can help you deepen your practice even more and give you all my tips, tricks and knowledge so that you feel 100% confident before investing your time and money into a training.

HOW do private online YOGa classes WORK? what do i need to prepare?
Online yoga classes are taught either via Skype or FaceTime. If you haven’t used Skype before, don’t worry, it’s really easy and free to set up! You just need to make sure you have a computer with a microphone and camera and an internet connection. You can even use an iPad too (cameras and mics are built-in).
The first step is to contact me here for a free consultation. Together we'll go over any questions you might have and what it is you're hoping to get out of working together! Do you want stronger arm balances or inversions? Deeper backbends or more flexibility? Do you have back issues? Shoulder pain? Or maybe you're looking for meditative guidance and relaxation. All can be worked on, in the convenience of your home.
To prepare for the first session, you will need to set up a yoga space. Having props isn't required, but they are a great way to deepen your practice and they're also great for beginners to remain in poses more comfortably. Some props might include a yoga strap, yoga blocks, bolsters, or blankets. Many things around the house can be substituted as props, such as books, pillows, towels, etc. Again, props are optional and not required!
We will either Skype or FaceTime (to be set up 24 hours prior to the session). This ensures that everything is set up and that the technology is working properly.
If for any reason you need to cancel and reschedule, please give a 24 hour notice to avoid being charged.
