Yes!! The Jess Yoga app has something for everyone. I've created some slower, beginner friendly classes and provide modifications in all classes to ensure the practice suits your body.

If you practice with me on YouTube and are looking for more variety this app has it all! New classes are uploaded more consistently on the app.

+ What kind of classes will I find on the app?

There are a HUGE variety of classes on the app. They are organized into the following categories:

The classes range from 5 minutes to 70+ minutes. I teach a creative vinyasa flow style of yoga, where we connect postures together into a sequence and link them to the breath. I also teach a slow yin style of yoga, where we hold the postures for several minutes and focus on restoring the body. I find combining these two different styles of yoga together creates a well-balanced and fully integrated practice.

Consistency is the key to progressing your practice, whether that's progressing towards greater strength & flexibility, improved mobility, better posture, reduced stress, a pain free body or calmer mind.

+ Is there a way for me to track my progress?

Yes! Everyone has their own personal profile on the app. This profile will track:

• Daily Streak
• Total Time Practicing
• Total Sessions Completed
• Yoga Journey Tracker that shows you which classes you've completed on which day!

+ I've been practicing yoga for years. Will this app challenge me?

Yes yes yes! There are a huge variety of yoga classes on the app including classes to challenge and grow your practice.

+ Will I need any equipment?

All you'll need is some space and a yoga mat!

If you plan on practicing regularly, you may decide to invest in some props:

• 1-2 yoga blocks
• strap
• blanket
• bolster or some pillows for the yin/restorative classes

BUT – Don't worry about going out and buying all the props to get started! You can start today and figure out what you need later. Always feel free to DIY your props if you do not have access. Books can make for solid blocks, a scarf or belt can work as a strap, pillows and blankets work if you don’t have a bolster.

+ How do I stream the videos to watch on my TV?

Follow these steps:

  1. Start any class in the app
  2. On the top right tap the Cast button
  3. Depending on available devices you will see Airplay and/or Cast
  4. Select the suitable device and enjoy the video on your TV!

Requirement: Must have a device connected to TV or a Smart TV that supports Airplay or ChromeCast. iOS devices can use Airplay & ChromeCast. Android devices will only be able to use ChromeCast.

Hey there! I’m Jessica, founder and yoga teacher of the Jess Yoga app! I’m so happy you’re here. I’m not one to believe in coincidences, so I trust you’re in the right place.

Let me share a little bit about my journey…

Before yoga I was navigating life on autopilot — without passion, purpose, or a clear direction of where I was headed. It was only after dealing with mental health issues that I finally decided to look deeper into my own soul, which is how I reached yoga.

Yoga has taught me so much about myself and the world. What I love most about this practice is that it goes beyond the physical postures, breathing and even meditation. It isn’t just an exercise, it’s a way of life.

Yoga means “to unite”. It teaches us how to live our lives with a greater sense of intention and peace. I always try to remind my students that the postures are not the destination, but that they help us stay on track — moving toward the life that we want to create for ourselves.

I have completed over 500 hours of training and studies in vinyasa flow, yin/restorative, meditation, yoga nidra and breathwork. Along with my background in anatomy and my general love of movement, I have a lot of fun creating intentional sequences to help you feel better in your body and mind. I focus on alignment, but I also weave in philosophical elements that yoga relies on.
