The Yoga Basics Course is a comprehensive 30-day introduction to the foundational poses and movements of a yoga practice. The program is comprised of 30 brand new yoga classes, tutorials, sequences and flows to help you learn the foundational asanas, build a strong foundation and gain confidence in your yoga practice. The classes in this course are easy to follow, move at a slower pace and include plenty of instructions and explanations.
This course is broken down into 4 main modules:
MODULE 1 - FOUNDATION
(Days 1-6) covers intention setting, basic breathing techniques, seated postures and proper warm-up
MODULE 2 - FLOW
(Days 7-16) teaches standing & balancing postures, as well as Sun Salutations, where you will learn to connect movement to breath + breath to movement.
MODULE 3 - TRANSITION
(Days 17-26) introduces beginner arm balances, backbends, inversions, basic transitions & cool-down/reclined postures.
MODULE 4 - CONNECTION
(Days 27-30) includes full length classes to tie together everything we’ve learned & to help you feel confident in your own personal flow.
This course is for everyone - from the complete beginner, to the seasoned practitioner who wants to go back to the foundations, to the yogi looking for mind-body-spirit connection.
